SPU Gwinn Commons
    Seattle, WA
    Renovation

The work at the Gwinn Commons building, which provides a lively gathering spot for SPU students, involved a remodel of the Falcon’s Landing kitchen and the Gwinn Commons dining room during summer break, followed by replacement of the floor in the kitchen during the winter break. The schedule was both tight and critical, since the kitchen and dining area had to be ready for student food service after these breaks.

At Gwinn Commons, new carpeting was installed, sun-damaged exposed woodwork was refinished, new automatic window shades controlled by sun sensors were installed to provide greater comfort, serving equipment was upgraded, and the existing beverage bar and associated equipment were relocated. At Falcon’s Landing, new commercial kitchen equipment was installed, along with new flooring, and refrigeration equipment, and a new janitor’s room was added.
