The University of Puget Sound’s Counseling Health and Wellness Center is the main health center for the UPS campus, located on the second floor of the active Wheelock Student Center. Students rely on the center for immunizations, testing services, medication storage and dispensing, allergy services, physical exams, and a host of other wellness services. There are also several private counseling rooms where students can receive mental health services and support.
W.G. Clark met a critical schedule on this project, as all renovation had to be completed over the summer break, ready for reopening in the fall. In eight weeks, W.G. Clark upgraded all areas in the health center, including examination and counseling rooms, as well as the kitchen, restrooms, break area, and reception area. The project was a complete tenant improvement including walls, select mechanical and electrical work, doors, casework, flooring and lights. The work took place above a café, the main dining hall, and the campus bookstore, which all remained open during construction.
