The Main Street Flats project, located in the central business district of Bellevue on a 1.5-acre site, includes five levels of wood-framed construction above a concrete commercial podium and parking garage, with 7,000 SF of street-level retail space.
W.G. Clark worked through multiple constructability challenges on the steeply sloped site to address stabilization and power access issues. Our own crews performed the concrete work on the project, as well as the structural steel and metal fabrications, providing tight control over both schedule and quality.
Following the success of the first phase of the project, we built a second phase, adding another 165 residential units in three adjacent buildings. Amenities from the first phase are shared with residents in the second phase buildings.
Among the attractive features are a rooftop terrace with spectacular views of the downtown Bellevue skyline and the Cascade Mountains, along with luxury urban finishes, two courtyard areas, a wireless lounge, and a 24-hour fitness center.
Despite the complex designs, mid-stream changes and dealing with a heated marketplace where labor shortages were commonplace, we turned the project over with time to spare.
