Retail, Special Projects
The owner of Pike Place Market’s Il Bistro brought their success to Bothell, opening Amaro Bistro as a sister location. The 3,268 SF Italian fine dining restaurant was built out in the corner retail space of the Six Oaks complex, also built by W.G. Clark.
W.G. Clark carefully coordinated activities taking place between the restaurant and the apartment complex. This was especially important during installation of the restaurant’s fire-rated grease duct, which extended through five stories of apartments above the restaurant space. The full commercial kitchen includes a 6,000-pound brick-lined pizza oven that had to be brought in and assembled before finishes could be installed.
The new restaurant features curved low walls with tile finishes, wood caps and metal rails, and a temperature-controlled wine display room with custom glass walls and doors. Operable doors in the full bar were finished and installed by W.G. Clark, allowing for outdoor access in nice weather.
