The North Campus project comprises Madrona, McCarty and Willow Halls, which hold 1,977 beds in apartment-style units. The three new buildings on their 12-acre site set a new standard in amenity-packed campus living. Willow Hall’s lower floor alone holds one acre of dining facilities that serve the entire campus, as well as a complete commissary kitchen to provide catering services.

After construction was well underway, the North Campus schedule was extensively modified to add the early occupancy of Willow Hall in order to host the participants of the 2018 Special Olympics. Our team worked with various jurisdictional inspectors on safety measures that would allow occupancy with the remaining construction still in progress. Through the team’s intense collaboration, the University was able to successfully host the Special Olympics participants. The phased completion created a unique situation of having a fully occupied building immediately adjacent to the remaining active construction site.
