Mercer Court is a five-building complex that features spacious apartment style student housing units with fully equipped kitchens and a combination of private and semi-private bathrooms. Features include a community lounge, group study areas, multiple outdoor seating areas, music practice rooms, laundry facilities, the Husky Grind café, an urban farm plot, sky lounges, rooftop terraces overlooking Portage Bay and the Seattle skyline, and adjacent access to the Burke-Gilman trail.
W.G. Clark provided extensive preconstruction services for the project, which the University and its design team planned for a strong community flavor that promotes student interaction and connection through its large shared living spaces and the project’s many appealing amenities. The University was eager to have the project schedule accelerated, and W.G. Clark worked with the team to develop a phased turnover schedule that achieved earlier student move-in dates than originally planned.
