Kent Pullen Emergency Coordination Center

The Kent Pullen Center is a 34,868 SF project that combined King County’s Office of Emergency Management and the Sheriff’s Office Communications (911) Center into one space that can serve as the seat of county government in the event of a disaster.

The project included a large value engineering proposal that was offered to offset the costs of owner changes made to the electrical and exterior closure systems. A nimble management partnership with the County allowed W.G. Clark to complete the project under budget and ahead of schedule, with no delay to the 911 center move-out.

The hardened facility has the latest advances in communications technology, with space for sophisticated radio, electronics and telecommunications equipment, dispatch and secondary operations, a radio antenna tower, and rooms where 911 operators take calls. W.G. Clark contributed extensively to the LEED certification effort of the 5.66 acre environmentally-sensitive site.
