The challenges for this retail and multi-unit building were considerable: build on the corner of two arterials, in a highly populated single-family neighborhood, into the side of a hill in mid-winter, during the Seattle concrete strike, with limited site access and poor soil quality, while sharing the project with another contractor. Experience and creative problem solving allowed us to complete this project on time despite a mid-construction redesign of the retaining wall and a hard-soil dig for the deep detention vault.
