Borealis is an award-winning affordable housing project that required extensive planning and coordination with Qwest communications, due to the live fiber optic feed that ran through the site and connected to nearby KING Channel 5 studios. To keep KING’s broadcasting in operation, we had to suspend the lines in mid-air during the excavation process. Eventually, the lines were encased into the building structure.
